For all my friends who have been praying for my daughter, thank you! She is finally turning the corner, eating better and without so much pain. I am truly grateful for the prayers and thoughtful messages. Thank God for His consistent mercies.
Today I would love to share two cards I submitted for stamping challenges. The first is for the Connie & Mary Sketch Challenge CCMC239. Don't you just love this flower trim? Very easy and quick card to say the least. Can't wait to see your responses to it. :)
Stamp set: Vintage Verses (SAB 2013)
DSP: Sycamore Street (SAB 2013)
CS: Summer Starfruit, Basic Black
Tools: 1 1/4" cirle punch
Embellishment: Flower Trim
Here is my take using the color challenge #153 from Handstampedsentiments HSSCC153 and the sketch from Retrosketches #51
Stamp set: Forever Young, Vintage Verses (SAB2013)
CS: Pretty in Pink, Early Expresso, Whisper White
Embellishments: Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons
Tools: Boho Blossom Punch
Tools: Color Spritzer Tool and markers in Pretty in Pink,
Melon Mambo and Razzleberry Ripple (the closest to Cherry Cobbler I had)
The Forever Young Stamp set is one of my all times favorites. Can you tell?
I wanted to made the tree look like spring is here! I envisioned those beautiful trees is Yakima, WA blossoming in pink all of a sudden. :)
The technique I used for this was Reverse-Masking.I stamped my tree both in WW CS and on a piece of note paper. I cut the top of my tree from the note paper with a hobby blade. Position on top of my main image and proceed to spritz with the 3 colors on my challenge. Stamping is so fun!
Il bring more on masking plus some organization tips tomorrow
Which of my two takes you like the best? Leave me your love with your comments and come back again!
Have a wonderful day you all. It was awesome to have you over. :)

ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that your daughter is getting better. Yes I do love that flower trim - it's my new favourite toy! It looks fabulous combined with that Summer Starfruit DSP. "Just Because" is a perfect sentiment sometimes for card - it says so much! Thanks for joining us at Create with Connie & Mary Thursday Challenge!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear your prayers are being answered! How wonderful! I completely love your tree card, and I love the reverse masking. I have never even considered doing it that way, and I'm always worried about messing up a card with my spritzer (which I love using). No more, though :) Very cool. I love that the spritzes look like spring buds on the tree. I'll definitely be filing this one in my faves. Thanks for playing at HSS! Erika
