Just my Type by Stampin'Up!
Every morning at about 8AM we meet for a time of devotion as a family. We love teaching our kids to listen to God's voice. He speaks to us in many creative ways. We cultivate this by having times when we simply worship, meditate in His Word and listen. Afterwards we share what we saw, what we perceived or listened. Love these moments and how one vision at times confirms a word, etc.
A few days ago we ask Holy Spirit to give us a letter from God. The more we practice listening to Holy Spirit the more we actually hear. Our kids are also learning but their level of faith is fascinating. So as a way of activating their spiritual ears we ask them to pray and journal what God is telling to each of them and write it down. We practice as well.
This stamp set reminds me of letters we so carefully use to write on typewriters. No grace for mistakes! Oh dear... but when learning to hear God's voice is so motivating to encourage each other in the Lord and give ourselves times to practice.
He "wrote" me a special letter... "If you simply trust me you won't fall. You will fly. Each of your children will learn to fly even higher than you. Your grandchildren will make you laugh. They will not only fly, but will dance and rejoice and bring joy to many..." There was so much more. My journal holds so many promises and hope.
There is no better letter than His Scripture. If my own creativity during our times with God seems too odd for you, please stay grounded in His Word. His Word never fails. May the words of Christ dwell richly in you! (Colossians 3:16) Seek Jesus!
The card I made took some time. It has many layers adhered with dimensionals. I truly love layers but don't always take the time to create with them. Check all the measurements below.

The other day Pastor Reinhard Hirtler
from Brazil came to our church to speak. You can watch here. He said something so interesting. "We have two limitations in life: Those things God forbids in His Word (the Bible) and what we believe." I believe God speaks to His children. I want my own children to learn to listen to God's voice as well so we take active time to teach them and practice. Mornings are exciting in this house.
