Memories and More Monday

Stampin'Up! offers different resources for my Memory Keeping needs.
Through the years I have tried different.

My process is becoming simpler as I realized not long ago how I usually start my pages.

FIRST: My story
For me is all about the story I want to share. When I start simply with photos it gets me lost.
Bit if I want a story to stay with me I quickly work on a page starting with "the story" per se.

SECOND: I find the photos that illustrate my story, can be present or past, people or places. Could even be words.

THIRD: From there is finding the colors and papers I want to use, the sketch I want to follow (usually depending on the art of pictures I picked) and the embellishments.

For this page I followed a sketch from Simple Scrapper, a community of scrapbookers that I LOVE being part of.

My family from overseas came to visit a few weeks ago.
Time with the grandparents is scarce so I truly want my children to REMEMBER these moments. Not forget the joy they brought and how blessed we are to have these amazing relatives close to us, if only for 10 days.

This is also something I like,
mixing traditional scrapbooking with divided pocket pages.

Happy Easter: No More Fear

But the angel answered and said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead,
Matthew 28:5-7

I so LOVE this portion of Scripture.

How many times I've been afraid of the unknown. Afraid of what lays ahead. Afraid of letting go, just like the disciples were when Jesus "left them" (died).

But the cross is such a powerful reminder to me to NEVER LIVE WITH FEAR. Of not giving it a teeny bit of space in my life. The angels live without panic, terrifying anxiety, without being preoccupied.

May you and I live a life of glorious freedom here on earth and prepare the way for the One who is to come back soon.

Easter Blessings my friends, Jesus is indeed alive! He is risen.

Happy Easter 2017!
There is great hope in knowing our God cares.
He always cares for us!

I LOVE the ways He speaks to us.

Passion Week: Add more color without coloring!

Easter Blessings,

This is such a special week, were we are called to remember.
Remember God's love, Jesus' sacrifice and His resurrection.
Remember all His blessings and His promises.

Take time to celebrate His life inside of us. What hope He brings into our lives!

Here a few card for those of us who DO NOT LIKE TO COLOR!
Yeah, I will be honest, maybe when I turn older and my agenda slows down (does that ever happens!?), but so far I color VERY little. I have two adult coloring books. One is of Bible verses, the other trees. I used them when I go on planes. Meaning once a year. Hehe! Check out my idea NOT to color.

Don't miss the technique photo tutorial below!
By the way, did you watch yesterday's video? Here!

Special Reason Bundle (retiring May 31st) and Suite Sayings (retiring May 31st) made this a breeze, together with Gorgeous Grunge (retiring May 31st)

I used these ink pads: Mint Macaroon(retiring),
Peekaboo Peach and Sweet Sugarplum

No coloring at all here...but is easy and pretty to LAYER stamps on top of each other with Butterfly Basics

This is my favorite, Suite sayings sentiment with the Remarkable You. Love my In-Color enamels in Sweet Sugarplum.

I am enjoying making Easter cards, what better way that send a reminder of HIS beautiful love for us.

Below I show the Masking Technique. Go try it with any flower stamp you have or any image really. Is easy! Then color or NOT :)
