My Pumpkin Challenge: Season of Giving Week 2

Hello my dear Paper Pumpkin lovers!

Here sharing another cool idea on how to use your kits to give and keep giving!

WHOOO needs more Christmas tags? Everyone!
So why not give some a few days before Christmas.

At my church we will be celebrating early so I decided to make a few of these and share with some sisters using those cute envelopes from the kit.

How cool is that?

In order to make this gift.
I cut my card bases in 4" x 2".
Then punched the top with one of my Ornate Tag Topper Punch or the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch (a must on your drawer!).
I punched black card stock with the Washi Punch and thread some cute ribbon around the top.

The "to: From:" stamp image is from the Birthday Bundle kit (05/2015). Every kit comes with so many needed stamps. Love it!

What are you making for this Christmas!

My word for 2015 has been ENJOY.
I am enjoying every gift, every card, every project and in the meantime enjoying time with my little peeps too!

So many sweet memories in the making!
Will be sharing more and more with you!

One Wonder Sheet Template 1

A great way to use your pretty papers

I will be sharing with you a super cool way to make cards using your pretty papers to the max.
There are many ways of using these "One Sheet Wonder" templates and surely you could find many.
I went ahead and made one of my own and I am loving it.

What is 'One Sheet Wonder'

One Sheet Wonders are just templates that show you how to cut your pretty papers -usually sized 12" x 12"- in order to make several cards or projects with it.

OSW Template 1

Why ONE, because I plan to keep making more. These are so easy to use and REALLY help when you want to make many cards. :)

On the one below I suggest you starts by:

1. Cut your paper lengthwise on three columns of 4" x 12"
2. Then cut your column on the left at 4"…you will end with three 4" x 4" squares.
3. Cut your center column as shown from top t bottom.
4. Cut your right column as shown from top to bottom.

Left cards: I used the 4" x 51/4"
Middle card: I used the 4" x 5 1/2"
Right card:One of the 4" x 4"

Top Left: I used the 1" x 6 1/2" but I cut to length
Bottom left: I used the 4" x 1 1/2"
Right: Both used the 4" x 4" pieces

Here I showed the snowman I die cut from the top cards
To the right my 3- 2" x 2" squares :)

To make our class easier I stamped and place the corresponding framelit on top of the image.
Each of my friends LOVED making this set as a gift.

Did you check yesterday's post. You SHOULD!
It has the embellished wood stamp case I we cased all these cards plus envelopes.
Ready with a gift for a loved one, using what I have in my stash. Yay!

Snow Place Gift Box

Giving from your stash

Would n't you love giving gifts you made yourself?
Is easy!

Full Wide Stamp Cases are in!

Have you ever used these boxes to encase your gifts. You need to try them.
These are sturdy and a very good size.
7 1/2" x 5 1/2" x 1 1/4"

*It will hold many craft items HINT HINT - they can be used for organizing stamps, markers or more.

Wrap your Full Wide Stamp Cases

For this project I embellished my box with a piece of DSP (Designer Series Paper)
measuring 7 " wide x 11 1/4"long. Then I inserted inside the plastic shield.

That band is a 1" x 6 1/2" glued on the paper perse,
so is inside not outside the plastic shield.
The YOU comes from the Hello You Framelits.

Cute Penguin Tag
Are you wondering how I made the tag.
I used the following materials:

Ornate Tag Topper Punch
Snow Place stamp set and framelits
Paper Pumpkin stamp "for you"
Real Red foil paper
Owl Punch (circle that makes the nose)
Metallic Doilies (my fave!)
Basic Black
Silver
Basic Black Twine

What's inside?
I really enjoyed making this gift.
I placed 11 cards and envelopes for a sure to please gift.
I will show you those tomorrow plus the One Wonder Sheet I created too!

You could place other gifts too:
craft supplies
makeup
chocolates
notepads and pens
jewelry…
The Possibilities are endless.

Have fun creating blessings this season…

Project Life by Stampin'Up!: Seasonal Snapshots

I can't begin to tell you how grateful I am for the beautiful Fall season I've been having with my family.

God has been so faithful to us. My most beautiful Thanksgiving since I married and precious time to ponder on His blessings. Yeap, I had my moments of chaos, messes and tears like any mom out there. BUT, is moments like these and photos that capture those moments that help me realize how blessed I am.

I have so much to show you that I've been doing with Project Life. What about I start today?

Let me start by saying…no stress, easy, ENJOYing scrapbooking style.

I love this photo of my little boy. Captures the wonder of his soul and his innocence.

TIP-O-TIP:
Don't cover the picture. Add a bit of washi tape on the side of it as an accent and maybe a cool phrase on the bottom (like I did). This Washi Tape comes with the Seasonal Snapshots Part 2, found in this Holiday Catalog. The labels also come with the accents kit.

This is my first page of Fall 2014 in my Holidays Album
I started this album a while ago documenting our whereabouts during Fall & Winter Holidays. I pull it out every year and my children and husband love looking through its pages.

TIP-O-TIP
Use "the kit"! The Seasonal Snapshot accents kit is precious and brings so much you can use. The wooden stars and those cute 2" x 2" cards are great. To add some sparkle to this spot I placed a 3/4" cicle of Gold Glimmer paper (is on the weekly deals till Monday!) behind that star. And glued it with my favorite glue, the Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I wanted to put a BIG title here so I used one of my retired Big Shot Dies to cut these letters.
Then made banners from Cherry Cobbler, island Indigo and White covered with the washi tape).
I made a bow out of this Gold Cord -I LOVE it and is retiring…in January, boo!

TIP-O-TIP
If you want to bring in more color to a card. Punch a semi-circle on an area were the back card shows. I made sure I knew WHAT was going to be showing through it. Yay! Love it!

The cards and accents collection bring with it such neat clips and die cuts. But my favorite thing is the different fonts found in each set. Love these two types of letter, so I used both.
Again added some bling with a gold glitter paper star punch with the Itty Bitty Accents Punch.

TIP-O-TIP FOR BEGINNERS
Take your time. Start however, but start using your kits.

Start with the cards you like, or start with the pictures, or the journaling.
Keep it simple…don't finish all at once. Enjoy it, come back to it.

Add a bling here and there and be done for the day. WHY pressure ourselves. ENJOY documenting your stories.

Hope you enjoy seeing more of these Project Life posts.
If you do, could you leave me a short comment below. It helps my blog and business in  multiple ways!

Thanks and Creative Blessings,

Jessica Urrutia

My Pumpkin Challenge: Season of Giving Week 1

After a couple of months away from the challenge I decided it was time to keep enjoying what I so much love. Not only these precious kits but the friendships formed through them.

Thanks Heather, Boni & Sarah for loving me and this challenge from the beginning. You inspire me!

I am happy to announce that I am back at My Pumpkin Challenge.

What a blessing to join with this month challenge: Season of Giving!

This is the Mistletoe & Holly kit (November 2015)

I am preparing different types of packages this month to give away my creativity. This one is my favorite!
Made the tag with the kit and decided to color my twine! :D

These 3 cards are inside this glassine bag. I added the gold cord found in the Holiday Catalog…I am using it as much I can…it retires (book!) coming January and is so perfect!
Tag Punch

TIP TIP :)
Stamp the mistletoe image on your extra green paper from the leaves. Then fuzzy cut with your scissors.
Add the red pearls to give it the perfect look!

The gift becomes even better when you add such yummy envelopes.
Love it so much. I cannot wait to share these with some friends.

The Metallic Doily is my favorite embellishment in the big catalog.
I used the Banner Triple Punch to make the cut at the bottom.

These glassine bags called "Sketched Dots Tag a Bag Gift Bags" are wonderful

TIP TIP!
They come in elegant white like this…
I used my brayer and a paper to add Old Olive color to the bottom of it.

TIP TIP
Did you see my twine around the bag. Is the one that came with the kit but I added pizzaz with my spray bottle and Old Olive reinkers.

Yay! So simple.
Just fill your stampin'spritzer with rubbing alcohol 70% and a few drops of the reinker of choice. :)

Hope you've enjoyed each and every tip and you are enjoying as much as I am these gifting ideas.

The Best Holiday Catalog

The Best

I have been a demonstrator for 5+ years now. Time flies.

And in my honest opinion I think this Holiday Catalog has been the best.

I LOVE so many stamps, tools and embellishments. I know! Is hard to choose.

One of the many perks

Let me share a few samples from my swaps with other amazing demonstrators. One of the many perks of being a demo with Stampin'Up! is the amazing crafters you meet and learn from.

Check this out!

These beautiful cards were sent as my thank you to my friend Cindy C.
Thanks Cindy for your love and for believing in me!

All of these stamp sets and framelits  you can find
in the Holiday Catalog. The Brick Wall Texture embossing is in the big catalog. Precious!

Carry the difference! You can do it!

Will be back tomorrow with my Paper Pumpkin idea submitted to My Pumpkin Challenge. So excited to be back! Yes!

Love you all,

Jessica U.
