Have a beautiful Christmas...

I am in Puerto Rico enjoying some time with my family. I am happy and blessed! But had some quiet time so came to share some of my Christmas creations and a few swaps from my stamping friends.
Be inspired today by the birth of JesusChrist…He came as a man being God and let go of everything simply to love us.

I did this swap with some friends using stamp sets from the Holiday Catalog and Holiday Single Stamps.

This was my swap. Using Pretty Print Embossing Folder,
And Wonderful Blessing Stamp Set
Vintage Designer Buttons, Window Sheets,
Cherry Cobbler Embossing Powder and Gold Glitter Paper.

This precious card was made by Cindy Herbert

Swap by Boni Montano from StampinSweet

Swap made by Tamara Gilreath. Gotta love the ornament I found inside. :)

I still have a few more cards to share with you. I hope you get inspired….there are so many ideas here. Love their creativity…thanks friends for blessing me with your talent!

I love you all, have a beautiful Christmas!

Technique Twist Challenge: Faux Tile

Good morning my friends,
I am on my way  to celebrate Christmas with my family and I cannot wait.
I am praying for a time of celebration and also rest. I am praying for focus and vision for the new year.
I am praying for a bit of a plan…so many times Jesus gives you a dream but no blueprints. :0)
Is by faith I know.

This is sadly my last post with my Technique Twist Challenge but I have enjoyed a wonderful season of trying new things and twisting techniques a bit. It's been wonderful and for that I am very grateful.
Thanks to my stamping friends Julz, Lauri, Pam and Leena at Technique Twist for inspiring to create beauty and add a bit of fun too. It's been a joy and I truly hope to come back soon.

These weeks technique is Faux Tile…and mine came with a twist. I'm always looking for a way to do techniques simpler. I am a mom of 3, I homeschool and I get involved in other church and community events too…sooo if something takes too long to do it takes my joy of creating away. I love trying a ton of things but lately if is simple I like it better. Are you with me?

What did I do?….love the results by the way. Easy peesy tiles.
1. Take a pen (I used a black sharpie) and divide your piece of CS with a ruler making lines.
2. Use a Blender Pen to go thru each line to give a bit of depth.
3. Stamp your images (Snowflake Soiree)
4. Cover the cardstock TOTALLY in versamark and emboss using Iridescent Embossing Powder.

Hope the pictures help! :)

I will try to post here and there but these days I will be focusing for sure in my God (we celebrate CHRISTmas intentionally:), my family and listening. Would love to hear from you, how are you preparing for your festivities? If you want more details on this technique leave me a comment, hope the pictures help. :) Life is hectic…but God is always good.

Go check Technique Twist today! Is fun and I have learn soo much!

Creative Blessings and Merry Christmas!!

Guest Designer: Loving Jess

Hello my dear stampers,

I am going a 100 miles an hour lately. How in the world my week got soo busy. Have no idea! In between finishing my homeschooling semester, doing lesson tests and organizing bills, parties and my upcoming trip I am truly exhausted and so wanting to be HOME (where my mama is!).

I've been meaning to share these beauties with you before the year is over. I have been constantly encouraged and inspired by one of my best friends and partners in this stamping adventure, Jessica from JessicaLubbock. Thanks Jess for being an inspiration to me and so many. Your gentle ways, the peace your share and live with and your trust in the Lord Jesus truly are a blessing to my entire family and me!

Check out a couple of her Christmas cards below. To see more of her work check out her blog at
www.JessicaLubbock.blogspot.com You will love her creativity. While there leave her your love with your comments.

I love Jessica's simple designs yet stunning. She has encouraged me many times to try more simple techniques. As moms of many little ones under 7 both of us try to enjoy our hobby with as little stress as possible, so trying simple, clean cards really works. :)

I believe Jess made these for her daughters teachers this year.
Don't you think they are fantastic?! Love the colors, and the pop of red on these stars.

Have a creative weekend! I will be getting ready for my trip but will peak in to show you my latest Holiday Swaps asap! They are beautiful! I was not able to depart from them. I like them too much! Haha!

Love you all!

My Paper Pumpkin Wednesday

Hello!

My Pumpkin Challenge this month is all about Christmas! I love celebrating the birth of My Savior and the life I am able to live because of His love for me. Visit My Pumpkin Challenge to see what the other designers created today. Loving my Paper Pumpkin!

To make this card I used a Post-it note to mask the sides
(to shorten my tree 'branches') as
I stamped Gorgeous Grunge from bottom to top.
My Paper Pumpkin kit for November brought
the beautiful sentiment and the star.
I used Black StazOn Ink in both projects.

Eeek! I found out the Catherine & Cathy Create are hosting a challenge on Christmas Trees. CCC017: Cards Challenge - "Oh, Christmas Tree
So I decided to add both my little tree cards to this challenge.
These ladies are so inspiring, check out their site!

Dry emboss your card base
Make your Christmas Tree with Washi Tape
Stamp sentiment with Black StazOn
Stamp star o Crumb Cake CS and cut
Place rhinestone on star
Adhere with a Stampin' Dimensional

I truly enjoy playing with MPP kits. In the last weeks of the year I will be taking a short break from the blogging world. I will be back posting more My Paper Pumpkin projects on January 8th I wish to focus on Jesus & family.  I wish you the same! Relax and cherish those you love.

Thanks for visiting my blog today and blessing me with your comments and loving support.

Dec 16, 2013

Monday Greetings

Hello everyone!

I am doing well, getting ready to go visit my parents soon to celebrate Christmas! Yay! Have you been considering your 2014 yearly goals. I'm excited to start the new year (needless to say 2013 was crazy busy with all the moving).
If you wonder…yes I've been stamping. In fact, this week I got my new goodies from the upcoming Occasions catalog. Eeek! I am getting ready for my next Coffee & Cards Class January 18th. Can't wait. Il tell you more this week about my upcoming plans.

Check out some of my recent projects.

These were some of my door prizes and treats for my Coffee & Cards class I held at My Studio on December 7th. I had 4 lovely ladies who never stamped before. We made some Christmas cards, share cookies and laughed together. God is blessing me with new stamping friends.

Have a beautiful day…bind yourself with His bond of peace today. Jesus is the reason for this season.

Creative Blessings,

Jessica Urrutia
