Emerging Colors with Technique Twist Challenge

Hello there! Trying a fun technique today. This is called Emerging Colors Technique and is the technique featured today at Technique Twist Challenge! Yay!

MY TECHNIQUE TWIST: I used DSP (paper) and used Iridescent Ice EP for it. It blings!

MI CAMBIO EN LA TECNICA: Use papel de disenador y el polvo Iridescent Ice. Brilla!

 

Versamark bold image (Wildflower Meadow) on DSP (Epic)

Estampa una image amplia con Versamark en papel de disnador.

Pour Iridescent Ice EP on it and heat emboss.

Echale polvo Iridescent Ice y anada calor.

Brayer dark ink (Midnight Muse) on top of heat embossed image and wipe with a dry paper towel.

Usa tu rolo o esponja para anadir tinta oscura al papel (Midnight Muse) y pasale un papel toalla.

My Pumpkin Challenge Yay!

 

 

 

I totally love the colors and the 'celebration' mood that came with July's My Paper Pumpkin kit. So...since I have no baking tools to make cakes and decorate them with banners at the moment I decided to go in a card direction.

Me fascinan los colores y el modo de celebracion que vino con la cajita de My Paper Pumpkin kit. Ya que no tengo nada para hacer bizcochos y decorarlos al momento me fui en la direccion de tarjetitas.

MDS Honoring Husbands: Undercover

I am on a transitory season right now. Life is a bit unpredictable. I thought I was ok with change till I had no time to REALLY craft (as much as I like), post, participate in challenges, and have friends come over for stamping. Yeap! The 'joys' of moving and moving again. For the time being I have determined to focus on the positives. My husband is one of them!

Estoy en una temporada transitoria. La vida un tanto impredecible. Pense que haria bien con los cambios hasta que no he tenido mucho tiempo para crear (como me gusta de mucho), postear, participar en retos, y traer mis amigas a estampar conmigo. Sip! Los 'gozos' del mudarse y volverse a mudar. Por el momento he determinado enfocarme en lo positivo. Mi esposo es uno de ellos!

 

I admire his commitment to protect me. I know that is one of his main callings as a husband and I think he does a great job at it. :) I feel undercover and that gives me a sense a security I would never trade. I am grateful for his stability and his commitment to protect me and our children. God gave me a bodyguard in him...for this and more I will honor him.

 

Admiro su compromiso a protegerme. Yo se que es uno de sus llamados principales como esposo y la verdad hace un muy buen trabajo. :) Me siento cubierta y eso me da un sentido de segridad que no cambiaria por nada. Estoy agradecida por su estabilidad y su compromiso a protegerme a mi y a nuestros ninos. Dios me dio un guardaespaldas...por esto y mas hoy le honro.

 

 

 

Here my latest idea on honoring my husband. Soon I would like to start making desserts and things like that. But all my cooking tools are in boxes in a storage far away. So My Digital Studio it is! Also, the Lord gave me a HINT the other day. I am NOT called to correct my husband. I am called to encourage him, build him up and help him. I know, a position of trust and surrender. I am blessed indeed and I can see God working in my heart as I choose to let God be God in his life and not me :s God is good!

 

Aqui mi ultima creacion honrando a mi esposo. Pronto podre hacer postres y comidas especiales, mas todos mis instrumentos de cocina estan en cajas en algun almacenamiento, asi que por el momento My Digital Studio funciona. :) Un pequeno detallito que aprendi de mi Senor es que no estoy llamada a corregir a mi esposo sino a motivarlo, levantarlo y ayudarlo. Lo se, una posicion de confianza y rendirme. Soy bendecida y se que Dios esta trabajando en mi corazon asi que decido dejar a Dios ser el Dios de su vida y no you. Dios es bueno!

Not good enough unless..

Hello dear ones,
Just meditating and sharing what's been in my heart for a couple of days. My days have been so hectic...I may need to tweek my agenda since I make it. Goodness! We got back from Central PA looking for homes tonight. No house yet :P but after a looong drive back home, doing baths, bedtime routines and all I sat with my DH to watch a couple of Food Network shows. My goodness! Why something so 'fun' as cooking has to be made a STRESS...for crying out loud (ok! first time I use that expression, lol!).


Everything around us is stressful. If you do something well...according to the world standards is not good enough unless you do it in 0.2 seconds!! Gee! This needs to stop. That is a lie. You are good enough and you are very loved. :) On my trip back and forth from central PA today I kept meditating about the Hebrew word Shalom. I kept declaring this word, over me, my DH and children. I asked the Lord and even googled its meanings. There is a hunger in me to seek peace, true peace. The one that stays with you even if things don't go well.

I still have much to learn. I want His peace in my heart. It is part of the Fruit of the Spirit. Last week I studied the story of Jesus blessing the children. I taught the kids the difference between a prayer and a blessing. They then started practicing blessing each other with these words: May God give you peace (following Numbers 6:24-26).

So much to learn. Today I was putting it into practice. Trips with little kids are stressFULL.
Life, traffic, appointments, and even cooking can become stressful. Are we masters in making things stressful? I'm asking my Lord to make ME a peace-maker. A creator of PEACE. In my home, my parenting (uf, I need that one), in my appointments, even while I cook and do other chores.

Stress brings sickness...it distorts things and don't allow you to focus on what really matters. You may see less projects, but believe me God is working in my heart, I'm not only creating art, I'm creating life around. Il share a dream I had this week to see what do you think. In my dream I was teaching others how to make wax people. (Don't laugh!) Interesting to me, I was CREATING something beautiful, teaching it also...God gave me His ability to do that (even in my dream). I was making human figures with wax! And I was good at it. :) Well...one thing was missing in my dream for this I prayed and still will pray some more. In Genesis, God created mankind....beautifully  and wonderfully...but it was not until He breathed on them that they were instruments of His peace. Make me an instrument of peace Lord. Breathe on me...I need to be full of you and your Holy Spirit. Breathe on me....He makes such beautiful things don't you think?!!

There you have it...my artistisc loving heart, bringing my thoughts out loud. Life is crazy but the God of peace still reigns. Is He reigning in your life today with peace? He WANTS to do beautiful things.

My Paper Challenge All Goes!

Have you ever gotten a kit you have no idea how to use? Ha! That kind of hapenned to me with the July kit. But I LOVE the challenge. So many little details come with each kit is easy to come up with other ideas (in addition to the one given). July's kit has banners..cute little banners to place in a cake or on a scrap page. Hmmm....my creative juices are running!

Alguna vez has recibido un kit con el que no sabes bien que hacer? Ja! Eso me paso con el de julio. Pero como me ENCANTA los retos! Tantos lindos detallitos vinieron con este kit fue facil venir con ideas (fuera de la que ya te dan). El kit de julio tiene banderines...lindos banderines como para un pastel o una pagina de scrapbooking. Hmmm...mis ideas estan corriendo!

MDS Honoring our Husbands

Good morning my dear ones!
Have you ever wonder where have honor gone these days? Something is just not right. I hear the media, especially comedians bringing the integrity of men low so often that decided to see how I could make a difference. This is solely a step toward God's heart. He loves to honor others thou He is the only one TRULY worthy of praise. We have nothing to boast about.
Buen dia amigas! Compartiendoles una idea bella en la que podemos honrar a nuestros esposos. Demasiada charlataneria se ve en los medios de comunicacion especialmente de comediantes donde ponen a los hombres abajo. Hagamos la diferencia. Honremos a nuestros esposos. Es una acto simple acercandonos al corazon de Dios. El ama honrar a otros mientras que el unico que VERDADERAMENTE se merece la honra es EL. En nada nos podemos gloriar.


So here I go to not only challenge myself but also challenge you to put pride aside and start looking at the blessings we have. I felt in my heart I need to bring honor to my husband in a different way. So bear with me during this growing process. Nothing too well-planned just going with the flow and asking the Lord to give me direction. Would you join with me in this journey?
Aqui hoy me estoy retando a mi misma y tambien a ustedes a poner el orgullo a un lado y comenzar  a ver lo lindo y no lo feo. Crezcan conmigo y siganme los pasos. Nada muy coordinado, solo creciendo en como honrar a mi esposo y en esa manera tambien honrar a mi Dios. Te me unes?

Inspire your soul Sunday: RememberJ means...

Hello my dear ones!
Be blessed today with time to give thanks for all the wonderful things you have in your life. I'm teaching my kids to wake up in the morning and let the first words out of their mouths be "Thank You Jesus..." and whatever 3 things they want to thank him for.A grateful heart is indeed a happy heart!

I am thankful for the many opportunities my Lord and Savior puts in front of me. One of them, creating with my hands. Stamping has been a sweet blessing. I never had great interest on paper crafts since I was very involved in Drama & Dance Arts. I used to lead and choreograph for a dance team at a previous church, also take Ballet, Modern and Jazz lessons for several years (these all after my 25 yrs old:).

Then I got sick in 2006. I suffered weird seizures and used to loose my balance frequently. Long story short, the Lord introduce me to Stampin'Up! Is interesting I know. I say He did, cause I had a dream with the company and I knew He was leading me into something new. I prayed for a while and then got informed online and contacted the only demo I knew vaguely. She was not a demo any longer but referred me to her demo at the time, now my Upline Nance Paine.

I am thankful for the opportunity to craft blessings for others. I had to stop dancing for a season, but the great news are my Lord Jesus indeed healed me from those attacks. I have them no more since and I am in no meds. God has been good to me. If you know me I dance to my heart's content at my church and home but only to His glory and in a rejoicing way of worship. I now also love to create for Him and follow His lead on my creative process. I am at the time praying  His plans  unfold with me in this company. Exciting!

Thanks for gladly follow my posts through these years. You inspire me to share and embrace life as it comes. Giving always thanks for life and the privileges I already have at hand.

Here a song to redirect your attention from me, from arts, from life to the Giver of it...Jesus.
This blog's name was inspired by the words "Remember Jesus".
It works real nice (since my name starts with J) for others to remember. But for me it is a constant reminder of focus your eyes ONLY on the Lord. He is THE ONE who loves me perfectly. My all to Him I give.

 

This song brought me to tears last Sunday. How much we long to see Him...and we will.

We all live in hard days, but He is perfectly faithful. Creative blessings!
