Stampin'Up! Clay Molds and Photopolymer Stamps

Good day my dear friends,

Here wanting to show you a new stamp set I got and that is NOT in the catalog. From time to time Stampin'Up! spices things up by adding to he online store very cool merchndise including new stamp sets. This is the new Photopolymer Stamp set: Show and Tell #1. Check it out HERE!

I made this card inspired by the challenge at Technique Twist Blogspot.

This week we are playing with the Faux Wax technique. Did you see my first sample HERE the other day? That was done with a hot glue gun. Now today's is a bit more simple.

I used the new Stampin'Up! Clay to create a simple stamped medallion. :)

Estamos jugando esta semana con la tecnica Faux Wax. Viste mi primera muestra aqui hace dos dias? Ahi use pega caliente. Hoy es mas simple. Use la nueva plasticina moldeable de Stampin'Up!

y es simple!

Add a few drops of ink refill to a small portion of Stampin'Up! Molding Clay.

Anada unas gotitas de repuesto de tinta a una pequena porcion de plasticina.

 

Versamarked your stamp of choice and slowly and with even pressure stamp your clay.

Estampe el sello en versamark y luego en la plasticina con presion balanceada y lentamente.

Place in your freezer for the clay to get hard quicker. I waited a few hours to have a better result.

Pongalo en el congelador por un rato. Yo lo deje varias horas para que se endurara bien.

Technique Twist Faux Wax Tutorial!

Hey there!
Thought I would share with you a bit of my "creative process" and what I did with this cool technique. The first thing I found was the "main idea" of faux wax. This is what I found at first:

Pense que les compartiria hoy el proceso creativo de esta tarjetita. Lo primero que halle fue la idea principal de la tecnica faux wax. Aqui esta:

1. Take a small piece of cardstock. Toma un pedacito de CS.
2. Smear your versamark pad over it . Echale versamark.
3. Pour embossing powder on it, heat. Pon polvo de relieve.
4. When hot still pour more embossing powder. Calienta y anade mas polvo y vuelve a calentar.
5. Heat again and repeat till you have a good thick layer of melted embossing powder. Repite hasta tener varias capas.
6. Stamp on top with a "previously versamarked" stamp. Voala! Estampa con un sello que tenga versamark. Y ya!


Well my experience was not as great...thou for one of my Technique Twist designers this worked great! So go ahead and try it! Bueno mi experiencia con esta manera no fue maravillosa...aunque a otras disenadoras de Technique Twist les quedo brutal. Vayan a verla y tal vez tratelo asi!

 

So here came my twist, I heard of something similar done with colored glue sticks for the Hot Glue gun. Hmmm...no colored glue here, so I improvised. ;) Aqui esta mi creacion, escuche de algo similar hecho con palitos de pega con color ya...asi que como no tengo de esos improvise! ;)

 

Materials/Materiales:

Hot Glue Gun and glue

Stamp set of choice

Versamark Pad

Ink Refill (Cherry Cobbler)

Toothpick

Place 2-3 drops of Ink Refill in a non-stick surface. I just used Wax Paper from my kitchen. :)

Ponga 2-3 gotitas de tinta en algo que no se pegue. Yo use papel wax de mi cocina. :)

Pour a dab of hot glue on top of it. Use LOW TEMPERATURE. Quickly mix the glue and ink with a toothpick. Ponga un poco de pega caliente a temperatuta BAJA. Rapido mezcle la tinta con la pega con un palillito.

 



Ink your stamp with versamark to make the after release easier. Stamp on the glue/ink mix slowly with even pressure. Ponga su sello en versamark y luego estampe la pega con un movimiento suave y balanceado.

Give it a few minutes to cool well and unstick. Some of the wax paper sticked to it (it was ok).

Dele un ratito para que enfrie y separe la pega de la base. El papel de wax queda pegado un poco.

Trim your flower as you wish with scissors. Here is without trimming. Corte los bordes con tijeras.

Now these are some of my different Faux Wax tries. Lol!

Can you tell not everything goes according to plan? The yellow one, I used super hot glue and it was bubbling...not good. Worked way better with low temp. The one in the back was my first attempt with embossing powder :P The one in the bottom right I liked! Il show you that one tomorrow!

 

Estos fueron mis intentos con esta tecnica de Faux Wax. Ja!

Puede ver que no todo lo que uno intenta siempre nos sale? La amarilla use la pega muy caliente. La de atras fue mi primer intento con polvo de repujado en calor :P y la de abajo a la derecha se la voy a ensenar manana. Es facil! Venga manana!

I totally cannot believe is August. Can you? :P I have the privilege of sharing my creations with two wonderful challenge blogs at the begining of the month. Today is the beginning of both. First Il show you my sample for: Technique Twist Challenge

This next two weeks we will be playing with: Faux Wax Technique
Look what I made and come back to see 'my creative process' in pictures plus another simple twist with this cool technique. Ha! If you see my process you will notice not everything always comes up how you REALLY want it. :)

No puedo creer que ya es agosto!! Tengo el privilegio de disenar para dos diferente retos el primero del mes. Asi que hoy comparto contigo mis creaciones. Primero te ensenare lo que hice para Technique Twist Challenge. Estas proximas dos semanas se estara usando la tecnica Faux Wax (ni idea como escribir eso en espanol+ cera postiza? ;) Vea lo que hice y regrese luego para que vea 'mi proceso creativo' en fotos y otra muestra de esta tecnica con un cambio facil. Ja! Cuando vea mi proceso vera que no todo siempre nos sale como queremos de la primera. :)

Materials/Materiales

I used a Hot glue gun, clear glue stick (for the Glue gun),

Cherry Cobbler Ink Refill, Toothpick and Field Flower Stamp set!

Other tool: Mosaic Punch, Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder,

Edgelits, All products Stampin'Up! Gotta love it!

July Paper Pumpkin Kit

I love the July Paper Pumpkin kit! The banners you can create using the pieces are adorable, but sometimes it’s fun to change things up a bit. Using this month’s kit, I’ve created some alternate samples.

The first project is a fun way to use one of the banners that comes with the kit. If you were to throw a birthday party and wanted your present to match the cake, you could make it happen—since you get two different banners and pennants in the kit!

I made this card using the background stamps that come with the kit. I love how versatile the stamps are. Since they are just background stamps, I’ll be able to use them over and over again on all sorts of projects. It’s such an easy way to add texture!

Have you ever consider that there is absolutely nothing we can truly boast about? Without Christ we have nothing. I am thankful for His grace. He saw me and didn't pass me by. He saw me and loved me, aproved of me and granted me His pardon. I have no idea where I would be without Him and His perfect love that sustains me today. Think about it. Grace. Grace holds me. Grace holds you. Only grace holds creation. It is all by grace.

In times when all is in boxes Im learning to be still and know He is my God. His grace is enough. Just wanted to share my heart with you today.

Simple beauty...

Hello my dear readers,

Just peeking in to share a sweet simple card made with the Big Shot and that new embossing folder that coordinates with Wildflower Meadows stamp set. I thought for fun I could use it without the stamped image. :) Is a simple card...but it will mean much to someone soon.

 

I am honestly drained and trying to find the right time to open my SU boxes. For the moment I am working in getting back to a normal schedule with a hubby and three kids in a 3 bedroom apartment in the midst of beautiful PA. Im liking this city so far.

 

I hope to inspire you gently...I am not in a rush to get creative, I know when I feel refreshed I'l take where I left it again. There is so much going on in this amazing company in one week you would not believe it! New products,  My Paper Pumpkin promotion for newcomers, new products (oh wait, I already said that lol!) and new MDS download. Gee! I wonder if I'm missing any of the free ones.

Yeap! Life is full right now. But I love staying in touch.

More My Paper Pumpkin fun!

Hi my dear friends!
Yay! I made it safe to PA and thank God all is good so far. I still have to do and fold MY laundry, get MY luggage emptied and MY few boxes. Isn't it interesting how I was able to empty everyone else's bags, do everyone else's laundry and have their rooms all ready to go before mine. Huh?! Yes, I am an interesting species called: a mom. :)
Oh my! Did you know it's officially a week since all my Stampin'Up! stuff (except for 3 1/4" boxes, hehe!) was sent to a storage. And the ones I have are STILL CLOSED!
That is bad...very bad! :P

Well...My Paper Pumpkin....I made my samples BEFORE I closed my boxes so let me share with my last entry for My Pumpkin Challenge. Have you link yet?
