Systems Saturday: Push the Reset Button

Do you ever wish you had a reset button at home?

Where when you press it all goes back to its place as it was before the mess happened. Well, I wish I do!

But since in our imperfect world that still doesn't exist we have to make it happen little by little. 

Let's start on Saturdays.

Yes, today is Systems Saturday. 

Each Saturday I will share my progress on my own systems strategy to keep our craft rooms looking pretty, functional and inspiring.

Let's start with our craft tables.

Do you actually have a specific spot to craft? I know some do not. When I started stamping all took place on my kitchen table. I then move to the kitchen counter, my laundry table, with time the baby's changing table turned into my craft table (inside the baby's room of course, he didn't mind sharing!). Shh! His closet became my craft closet too, but we will talk about that later. From there I moved into a new house and what was supposed to be a "nursery" inside our Master's bedroom became my craft "room". It was open and without closet but I made it work with some Walmart tables purchased years ago for a craft fair. Hey! They still work. Now, in my new home (hopefully the one I will stay for many MANY years) I finally have a ROOM. It is in the basement, no closet but nice windows. There I placed my two foldable tables. Something like this.

What do I keep on my tables? 

On the left side of my main table, shown here I keep my camera so naturally the most used materials are there. My inks, Adhesives, Clear blocks, paper placemats, useful tools inside cups (scissors, bone folder, stapler, pen, ruler)

It is important to have at hand what you use most often. I normally create a big mess while crafting. I craft HONESTLY in a hurry because my time is packed with goodness (family, school, cooking, trips to dance or baseball, coop, church, etc, etc.) and leave things behind closed behind doors for when I have  time to pick it up like today! 

On the right side I keep my big cutter and my scoring tool. Both used a lot.

This week is our beloved Stampin'Up! demonstrators annual conference and I am so excited to share it is the first time I will join as one of the Leaders. I was promoted to Silver Elite back in May 2021 and Stampin'Up! sent these to celebrate this accomplishment. What a wonderful surprise in the mail!

Since is all about using what we love and not creating clutter I put my new gifts to work right away. My favorite is the small "pencil" holder box. I used it for my favorite glue, my Tomboy Liquid Glue. Is perfect! Now is always ready to use. 

My medium size one was used for my latest stamps and the biggest to keep white cardstock (my go-to), catalogs and my stamping mat. It feels good to be neat! Thanks Stampin'Up!

Inspired by His Word: Reformation Day

Back in October 31, 1517 a man named Martin Luther decided to speak up about some 95 thesis to be heard by the ruling church of the time. This action became an amazing reformation in all over the world with time were 5 fundamental beliefs were expressed as transforming for the church and pillars for Christian life. 

My best friend and pastor Dimary Rivera helped me summarize 

the 5 fundamental truths of Reformation Day.

These were called the 5 'solas' (in Latin). Meaning the 5 only. 

Sola Scriptura/ Only the Scriptures: which defined the function of the Scriptures as the only authority over the church.

Solus Christus/Solo Cristo: which defines Christ Jesus as the sufficient One, our faith in Christ as the Only Mediator between God and men.

Sola Gratia/Only Grace: this defines the only foundation upon which God accepts men, grace. Not by salary or compensation. 

Sola Fide/ Only Faith: The only means by which we receive salvation.

Soli Deo Gloria: This defined the essence of worship, God only is the center of it. 

With that I wanted to celebrate such a moment in history with a card that shows gratitude for His Word. Where would I be without His transforming Word? I have come to know His heart and His good plans for me through it. My Mom inspired me to read and study His Word since I came to the Lord's feet at my 17 years old. I have come to consider the sacrifice of Christ and the priceless benefits that have been given to me through it. I so LOVE the Word.

May the Lord bless you today with an insatiable desire to be in His Word and live by faith. To never take for granted the sacrifice given for you, your relationship with Christ and your purpose in this life till the one to come. His goodness will follow you all the days of your life. This journey is important to God. Make it your best for Him. 

One of Stampin'Up! beautiful values is "Better your best". So today I want to encourage you to better your best reading the Scriptures as often you can. meditating on His truth. It will surely bring you peace and hope and salvation to your house.

As I was praying this morning this verse touched my heart greatly. I found myself worrying, I found myself upset about the "what ifs" of life. I found myself  striving to know what to do. Then His sweet Holy Spirit reminded me. That is NOT my calling, to worry. I have been called to delight in His presence...He takes care of the rest. He never ever fails!

Paper Pumpkin Peaceful Christmas is Here!

Hello November 1st and hello my dear stampers!

It has been a long time since I post here and I feel so excited to come back to my blogging habits. Not that my busy agenda has changed but my desire is to stay connected to you, my team and to all who want to learn stamping and honor Jesus with what they do.

On Monday early I went LIVE on my facebook group Stamp a Blessing. What a joy to create with my dear ladies. In order to keep my blog going i will start simple. Here are he projects I created and the link to my LIVE video tutorial! I am in the process of editing it for you to watch anytime in my Youtube channel.

For this card I used a strip of the red tissue paper that came inside our paper Pumpkin kits to look as if I was using ribbon. It turned out nice! I enjoyed making alternates with my paper Pumpkin kits. 

I also decided to try my hands at embossing the tissue paper together with the Shaded Spruce Card base. Every once in a while you need to try new things. Don't be afraid of making bloopers. I added some wink of Stella for glimmer to the trees though the picture doesn't show it as well. 

This beautiful kit is an All inclusive Kit subscription called Paper Pumpkin.  It comes monthly to my door and I enjoy bringing ideas to all my subscribers and followers with it weekly. I also meet monthly with all my siubscriber virtually to create togetehr and get our kits done done done! Yay! Our next private meeting is this coming Thursday November 4th, 2021.

Paper Pumpkin Hope Box Scrapbook Page

Hello my dear friends,

It has been a long month of August with no posts on my blog. Oh dear I apologize. Life has been hectic with the baby, the beginning of school and so much more on my agenda. I have been active in my facebook groups doing facebook LIVEs every Monday and sharing ideas also on Instagram occasionally. Here has been a little hard.

I would like to Start again so here I am giving you a small recap of some projects I have worked on.

Let's start with the Hope Box Paper Pumpkin kit. I have enjoyed this kit so much. I did three different video tutorials you can find in my facebook links.

I enjoyed putting this layout together as the last of three projects Ive created with this kit.

If you didn't know this yet. I enjoyed hiding my journaling in many of my layouts. Check how I inserted a card (yes a card base from the kit) behind the Designer Series Paper I used. In my video you can see I created a pocket for it.
