3 New Sketches with Sweeter with You Paper Pumpkin kit

Try something new today.

Try some dry embossing. 

Try some Black and white stripes & vellum.

This gorgeous kit came with some beautiful and colorful strawberries. I chose a black and white theme to bring a bit of neutral colors to it. 

My black strips of cardstock are cut to 4" x 3/4"

Which is your favorite?

I have never done this before. I went for weaving some 1/4" strips of black cardstock through 4 slits cut with my Stampin'Trimmer. 

Cut a layer at 4" x 5 1/4"

Make a cut starting at 1/2" at the top, but start at 1/2" down till 4 3/4". This means 1/2" of the layer on the top and bottom are not cut.

Go to minute 43:22 in this video to see how I cut it. 

Do this cut at the following marks. 

1/2", 1-1/2", 2-1/2" & 3-1/2"

I actually marked this with a pencil before putting the sheet on my trimmer.

I truly hope you give this fun technique a try.

For this card which is actually the simplest card I used layers and embossing to create interest. Then added a cute sentiment and embellishment (strawberry) to draw attention. It turned out cute!
