As I prayed this morning I heard the Lord's whispering "Be brave".
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord you God will be with you wherever you go."
Joshua 1:9
Bring your SELF today to a place of faith.
As I meditated on the first chapter of Joshua, the son of Nun, Moses' aide this stroked me: Joshua was a simple helper to Moses, but he was also called to greater things. God was calling him to empty his hands of the sorrow losing Moses caused him so in return He could fill his hands with GREATER things. Joshua, as Moses, was being called to carry a mantle not many could. So He was commanded to be (in my own words) BRAVE.
What is God calling you to do?
Be brave today to give thanks in the midst of the storms,
Be brave today to celebrate everything,
Be brave today to keep living life abundantly,
Be brave to be wrong at times, but keep trying.
Be brave to be happy,
Be brave to fix your yes on Jesus,
Be brave to surround yourself with people who make you laugh,
Be brave to surround yourself with people of greater faith,
Be brave to press on and see his greater things.
So, empty your hands, and trust. He will fill them with greater things.
Be brave to let go of the sorrow,
Be brave to rejoice and lift His Name.
Be brave. Today you are Joshua!
He is calling you to greater things.
