Inspired by His Word: Reformation Day

Back in October 31, 1517 a man named Martin Luther decided to speak up about some 95 thesis to be heard by the ruling church of the time. This action became an amazing reformation in all over the world with time were 5 fundamental beliefs were expressed as transforming for the church and pillars for Christian life. 

My best friend and pastor Dimary Rivera helped me summarize 

the 5 fundamental truths of Reformation Day.

These were called the 5 'solas' (in Latin). Meaning the 5 only. 

Sola Scriptura/ Only the Scriptures: which defined the function of the Scriptures as the only authority over the church.

Solus Christus/Solo Cristo: which defines Christ Jesus as the sufficient One, our faith in Christ as the Only Mediator between God and men.

Sola Gratia/Only Grace: this defines the only foundation upon which God accepts men, grace. Not by salary or compensation. 

Sola Fide/ Only Faith: The only means by which we receive salvation.

Soli Deo Gloria: This defined the essence of worship, God only is the center of it. 

With that I wanted to celebrate such a moment in history with a card that shows gratitude for His Word. Where would I be without His transforming Word? I have come to know His heart and His good plans for me through it. My Mom inspired me to read and study His Word since I came to the Lord's feet at my 17 years old. I have come to consider the sacrifice of Christ and the priceless benefits that have been given to me through it. I so LOVE the Word.

May the Lord bless you today with an insatiable desire to be in His Word and live by faith. To never take for granted the sacrifice given for you, your relationship with Christ and your purpose in this life till the one to come. His goodness will follow you all the days of your life. This journey is important to God. Make it your best for Him.
