Make it Simple Monday: Wink of Stella GIVEAWAY!

Hello my dear friends,

Every Monday I have been sharing different tips to make your stamping simple.

Today I want to share a kit that is really close to my heart. I absolutely like it and recommend it.

O Happy Day! Cards Kit.
Last Tuesday I got to enjoy a time of stamping…noo! It was not long and I needed many beautiful cards. Usually I create them all out of my own brain, but my brain has been filled with so much homescholing (teaching, organizing, making copies, grading papers…) I decided to give O Happy Day a chance to shine.

This was one of my favorite cards. The whole kit is Oh Happy Day, but the sentiment comes from my other favorite kit Watercolor Wonder. :) Perfect mix!

Is an excellent CHRISTMAS GIFT!
O Happy Day Kit click here to see.
Watercolor Wonder Click here to see.

Ok, I absolutely LOVE when I am creating and an idea comes from Heaven. "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." (James 1:17)

So this particular card comes one way, but I decided to make it a teeny bit different. Besides adding a banner and different sentiment I ALSO used my Gold Wink of Stella to make things stellar. '

The O happy day kit came with several doilys. This one was white and I turned it into a shiny gold with my Wink of Stella!
Would you like to win one?!

Don't' you think is so cute!? Go try it! Needing some Wink?

Easy Tips to Complete your Paper Pumpkin Kits!

Easy Tips!

Start by Opening your kit and separating all parts according to what goes with each card style.
See the photo of the completed projects and read the instructions. Yes yes, it does help!

Why in the world I did not take a photo of this step…hmmm…oops!

Do all your stamping (as able).
Prior to assembling all parts together.

Don't forget to maybe stamp your envelopes too! CUTE!

Assemble one set of cards at a time.
This particular kit came with three types of cards. Start with one style. Feels good to finish at least 3 of them! Also, if you need to stop (to go cook or take care of a messy preschooler!, you know in which step you were and can carry on easily next time you can stamp.

PSST! Start by cutting the length of twine or ribbons needed for each card. Yes you will need a ruler hehe! Have some adhesive of choice at hand unless you only need the dimensionals or glue dots provided (mostly this is the case!) My other adhesive of choice is the Tombow Multipurpose Glue. Great too for wood veneers. :)

Choose what to do with them now?

1. Give them right away. Place the address on the envelope or at least place a post it note inside for someone and set a day to mail them. Placing a post it note note makes your gift a gift they can re-gift. Yikes!
2. Make a special gift of 3-6 cards and place in an handmade envelope or manila envelope and give as a special gift. Surprise someone!

If you have any leftovers. What can we do with them?

1. Use them in notecards. (Coming soon..)
2. Gift them to a friend who would love them. (Would love to do this…means decluttering right!)
3. Share with the kids…kids love embellishments. (maybe they can use them to embellish a bookmark or make an art!)
4. Tip: Keep your stamp set visible. Next time you sit to create think how you can use them again.

Hope this ideas help you to get your fun time, which at times can be VERY limited, to still get inspired to get your kit open, let's say TODAY!

And start…the important part is starting….the finishing will come, 15 minutes here and there.

Make it Simple Monday: Bookmarks

Hello my friends,

I would love sharing with you this cute project I made with some of my scrap pretty papers.

Mondays should be EASY, right!
Mondays should be GREAT!
Let's make them great by sharing cool, easy ideas!

Let me first announce our winner of last week's Giveaway!
Thanks to all who left comments here and on my Facebook group.
I love each of you and pray blessings over your lives.
I already announced it on Facebook but for those who don't do Facebook :)
Congratulations to my sweet friend Sandi Klindworth!

I will be mailing this on my mailing day: Wednesday! Yay! So happy to share.

Now, who has some 6" x 6" packs of pretty DSP (designer series paper) laying around?
Well, let's get it out and use it.

Who does not need a pretty bookmark. Is a perfect gift for a friend you love.
Or perfect accompaniment for a book you are sharing with someone.

Love LOVE love bookmarks. This one is easy to make and embellish.

1. Take a piece of 6" x 6" of pretty Designer Series Paper.

2. Score at 2" and 4"
Fold first a valley fold, then a mountain fold as to form a "Z" with the paper.

3. Punch the top of your bookmark with the Tag Punch (we have two in my store and one is on clearance for $13.80) or with Curvy Corner Trio Punch
(in CLEARANCE right now on my store for only $12, yay!)

4. If you wish to stamp, do so now.

5. Add your ribbons sandwiched inside the folds with very sticky tape.
Adhere all layers together.

6. Now, share your beautiful gift with someone you care about. Remind them of His love and the abundant life He offers.

Set a goal in your heart to SERVE others. How would our world look if we ALL took the nature of a servant? You imagine?!
Completely humble and gentle, a Life of loving, Serving with a passion.
Our world needs more of this.
May I be found fitting with such an honor.
Consider your steps, walk slowly, serve your neighbor.
Life is not about us, but the eternal.
I am thru with living SELF-absorbed. I want to live my life for Him, Christ-absorbed. He is THAT good!

Creative Blessings!
