So Grateful for Butterflies

Hello my sweet stampers,

Sorry I've been a bit away from my blog. It's been a crazy busy week personal and business wise.
I love blogging and I surely cherish having you.

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him". Romans 8:28
Yesterday my heart was aching when about 3:00PM I found out the prison were I have been giving Card-Classes was on fire. The building, which held 208 prisoners, was totally destroyed.
I am very thankful that NOT ONE lost their life. God is so rich in mercies.
Please pray for the staff, the commissioners, the city and the prisoners. It is a HUGE change for all and definitely my heart will miss going there. The whole story is here.

I am trusting ALL things will work for good…even from the ashes, He can make beautiful things.
And since I know He does, let me share with you a butterfly card. Out of the caterpillar comes such a beauty...

I used the New Bow Builder Punch to create a label for my sentiment. Is cute!

Hi my dear friends,

Hope you had an amazing time this weekend. I simply rested (and did laundry, and take care of the kids, and read books to them, and practiced violin with my oldest, and facebooked -is that a verb?-, and went to church) so in other words I rested. :) Typical day of rest for a mom.

How about you?
Wanted to start the week with the cutest pirate ever. Is one coming to tell you he LOVES you!

Stamp Set: Hey Valentine!

I rarely take much time in doing cards…I assume I like simple crafting. 

BUT this time I decided to try a "shaker card" inspired by my friend and demonstrator Pam Steckman.

I finally opened that bag of Shaker Frames dimensionals. Then I gave it a try.

Wanna Know How?

Step 1: Stamp your image and embellish as you wish. 

I used markers, and my Gold Glitz Dazzling Details and let it dry after I die cut.

Step 2: Die cut your image with the Circles Framelits. The closest size that fits.

Step 3: Die cut a Champagne Ring one size bigger than the die cut you cut your image with.

Step 4: Die Cut a circle one size bigger than your image from the Window Sheets. 

GEE! I really need to make a tutorial on this. LOL!

Step 5: Adhere your Circle Window Sheet to the back of your gold ring with the Shaker Frames Dimensionals. I cut them in short pieces and kept together.

Step 6: Place your Gold Sequins on top of your image and then adhere your Window Sheet/Ring on top.

Curvy Box Fox

The other day I went to play a bit with my Curvy Box and as I was making this card I thought would be fun to have a box to go with it…oh well…colors don't go together right now but THAT's what inspired me. :)

I try finding a fox made already with the Curvy Box Die but couldn't find it so I decided to create one myself. What do you think?

After I finished it…I may make new ears with a more pointy punch. Ha! Is ok…I like this one too.

X-Large Oval Punch(ears)

Large Scallop Oval Punch (ears)

Bird Builder Punch (eye/black wing)

Owl Builder Punch (eyes perse)

Itti Bitty Accents Punch (heart/nose)

Tangerine Tango, Very Vanilla, Island Indigo and Basic Black CS

Had to have a cute tail….oh! I used my Tombow Multi Purpose Liquid Adhesive!

TIP: I cut one square of very vanilla and then drew with a pencil to make this shape

Then cut and glued with Tombow adhesive. :) Nose adhered with a Stampin'Dimensinal!

Cute eh!? I think I need to add a cute Valentiny tag to this and voala!

I'm in love!

You knew that already….I am in love with Jesus, with life, with stamping! Haha!

And certainly with this beautiful stamp set…Groovy Love!

I had to try my hand at it with the beautiful Label Card Thinlits. 

Lovely with the Stacked with Love DSP pack. I ordered myself some more.

Since I don't have the banner framelits I got my scissors out and cut my sentiment. 

I think I did pretty good, eh!

On the inside, the framelit  actually brings a I "heart" you cut out.

How perfect! The arrow is from it too, the heart is from the Itty Bitty Accents punch.

Champagne Glimmer Paper got to be my fave embellishing paper for sure.

Thanks to all who kept me and my boy in prayer. yesterday was the first day we both felt ourselves again. I even de-clutter and area and today (Wednesday) we officially started our curriculums.

Such a beautiful day with my kids indeed. 

Now, I better take the last 15 minutes of their naps and stamp a little. Free to Create event is this Sunday. Keep us in your prayers. I will show you what we will make. Yay!

Paper Pumpkin Challenge: Get Ready!

A new Pumpkin Challenge starts today!
I chose to go back to my leftovers this time and try making a set with what is in my basket.
I only added Cherry Cobbler card bases and the Hexagon Texture Embossing Folder.
Look! I made a thank you gift!

This is my set of cards I know who I will give them to already!

One of my desires this year is getting rid of so much clutter. We crafters keep too many things for too long. This is my year of giving away and using the scraps, the leftovers, every bit…without keeping it perse, but using and/or giving.

Good morning everyone,

On the way to strength and joy I go.
It's been a rough weekend but I am so grateful the sun is out today (and is NOT snowing) and my boy woke with a much better disposition and a smile. :)

ENJOY is my word this year 2015. As part of enjoying my life better I have committed to memorize Scripture. One verse every two weeks. This is my verse this week. I am fully convinced Jesus wants us to enjoy life to the fullest as we bring His kingdom to earth in joy (IN-JOY)!
