Scrap a Blessing: Using Old Scrapbooking Kits

Happy Saturday my dears,

Do you have any old kits you have not used in foverer? A few weeks back I was scrapbooking in my room and printed some pictures of my boy's birthday. As I was looking through some pages in my album I realized I had a set of layout WITHOUT pictures I created long time ago back when Stampin'Up! used to sell Scrapbooking kits. I so WISH we had more of these...

Well it happens to be that the layouts combined fabulously with the pictures I took, so I got to work. Added my pictures and made it a bit more personal with some embellishments, journaling and love.

I truly LOVE how this simple layouts, already made and waiting for me worked.

THERE IS NOT ONE WAY TO RECORD YOUR MEMORIES AND STORIES
Do what works for you!

I hope these layouts encourage you to record your stories and leave a legacy of love behind. I have thousands of digital photos that no one will ever see. I want to make sure some of my stories are documented for my generations to enjoy and relive the good times. This was sure one of them.

I added that big "9" and vellum circle to the right of this layout.

My boy turned 9 years old before this cover-19 started. It was one of the last times we went together to a restaurant. We have come to realize how much we enjoy going to restaurant as a family and do riddles and more. That day he picked the restaurant for their yummy cheesy pasta! Can you tell he was happy?

I stamped a current sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set on a label cut with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and added it to the top of my layout. Little details that made me feel the layout was complete!

On this one instead of a picture I added a pocket page 4" x 6" and on top of it transparency I got long ago in a Paper Pumpkin kit. Behind it is my journaling!

These worked perfectly together and I cannot be more pleased!
Hope you are inspired to use what you have
EVEN if is not new!
