Let's Share: Build a Birthday

Last weekend I made this card for a friend (the circle one) and ended up liking it a lot. There are several ways to use this type of stamp set. In multiple colors or just one.Plus since is a photopolymer stamp is so easy to see exactly where you are stamping. Stamp set is Build a Birthday.
I placed all the parts of my stamp on my clear block, inked all together with Blushing Bride and stamped. Super simple but O so pretty. Don't you think?

The Circles Collection Framelits made the circle card an easy project.

My colors: Bermuda Bay, Basic Black, Blushing Bride (ink),
Rose Red (flower)  and Whisper White.

My embellishments: Itty Bitty Accent flower in Rose Red color and Basic Pearls.

The "Happy birthday" and "to an amazing woman" stamp set  is one of the new hostess stamp sets: Happy Birthday, Everyone
I am loving it indeed. The candle is from the same Build a birthday set. Fun!

And since this card is an unusual size of almost 5" circle I made a custom envelope easy with the Envelope Punch Tool.

Hope she likes it…love making special cards for special people in my life. EVEN if they arrive after their birthday…oh dear!

Share a Smile: Paper Pumpkin Baby

Here I am again making cards for babies…
and you already know that is NOT my comfort zone. O dear!

I do NOT make many baby cards. But when I saw this kit the first time I thought it had baby colors (well, at least the blues and brown…:)

My Pumpkin Challenge is sharing inspiration with My Pumpkin Paper kits and inspiring us all to share a smile. The closest distance indeed between two people.

I used the "congrats" wood embellishment form a past kit together with some of the triangles form the current kit. Yay! Love all these wood embellishments. Check out the stars. I decided to add an extra stamp this time (it retired): Baby we've Grown by Stampin'Up! Is just too cute!

Below is another cute card I made with this month Paper Pumpkin….hihi!
Btw, I JUST discovered this baby  set retired. Oh my!
But check out so many cute baby stamps in my store.

I used all Paper Pumpkin plus the Spiral Flower Die. Love it!
Oh, and glitter.  You got to add some bling here and there ;)
Hope you join this week at My Pumpkin Challenge.

Tuesday Lift Up!: Where is your Treasure?

This morning I read this:

"Do not store up for yourselves treasure on earth, where moth and rust destroys, and where thieves break in and steal.
But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
Matthew 6:19-21

As I look for ways to "teach" or better said practice compassion with my children I ponder on these words written in the Bible, the Word of God.

How much do you accumulate?

I surely have accumulated a ton of stuff in the last 10+ years. Mainly books, papers (Oh dear!), crafting tools, Shoes I dont use, toys-well that was my kids- and smile... STUFF!

There is a desire in me, to get rid of things. Does that happen t you too at times?
To give.
Donate.
Throw away.
Yes, that too! For the sake of focusing on the things that truly matter. To make a difference. That's my goal…make a difference in my world. In my family, my friends, my city. It starts here at home. In our hearts.

I started reading this book on my Kindle App…is a good start. I am learning. I create more when things are in order. I wan t God's order in my life. I want to be all He wants me to be.

Do you?

http://tidyingup.com
Very interesting…still not done with it.
Will give you a better review later on.

Those who give…certainly make a difference.
Could you share below some ways you are practicing giving...instead of getting?

*Tomorrow I will have a giveaway.Just a little start in one of the many ways I can simply bless others with my "letting go" of things. Come back!

Defeated…is just a feeling.

Emotions can be so harsh on us at times. Not sure what you are struggling with. But at times I struggle with defeat. I am not defeated thou.

"But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard-pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed." 2 Corinthians 4:7-9

Let me simply remind you, if there is a vision, if there is a promise. Please Do NOT stop trying!
Harness your emotions like my friend Pastor Andrew Wommack teaches and ENJOY the ride. God has good things in store for you.

Do your best today, and forget the rest. Leave the rest to God. He cares for you.

"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen but on what is unseen, since what we see is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Simple Scraps Monday Week 4: Use it as it is!

Do you have some very pretty paper waiting for it to be used.
Either use it or give it away!

Since many of my crafty friends keep their pretty papers untouched for a lifetime, I decided to share some cool ideas to use yours. Yay! Check my previous week ideas below…

Week one - Sketches
Week two - Blessing Notes and Bags
Week three- Paper Piecing

Today I decided to use my scraps JUST as I found them. Check my photos below.
I already had those 3 envelopes for a 4" x 4" cards made inside. I remember I made those with the Envelope Punch Tool. :) So I made 3- 3 3/4" square cards to fit.

So this is one of my scraps bags divided by mainly occasions.
Like this bag has scraps of papers like for kids birthday. Bright papers.

This was my first step.
Getting the papers out and see what leftover shapes I had.
Then I got to play!

You can see I also had a bag full of circles in my scraps baggies. :)

WHAT WILL YOU MAKE WITH YOUR SCRAPS TODAY?

My Pumpkin Challenge: Project Life Idea

Hello my dear friends,

Yes, I am alive and well. I've been missing in action for a few days. I need these days to plan, plan, and plan. July is coming to an end. I am staring school in August with the kids, plus some cool stamping classes and more. My life is never boring. Ha!

Thou I love blogging, July has become my focus month to relax a bit, enjoy my children and go to bed as early as possible. Feeling great right now. We hostess a party for my husband's coworkers a few days ago and welcomed my SIL with my two nephews to spend some quality time with us.

God is good!
Now, getting back to my two favorite things combined. Paper Pumpkin AND….Project Life. Yay!
Check out what I did with the new cute flowers. :)

I haven't place this in the album yet.
I kept out to enjoy for a few more weeks.

I love this photo of my girly. Growing so fast. I added a bit more journaling behind the bottom card. We had a cool conversation the other night about WHO do we represent when we dress up. Hannah loves to dress up…princesses, Bible characters, cowgirl…you name it!

Our conversation turned quiet interesting as she is deciding what she wants to wear for the next 'Truth & Treat' event at my church coming October. We talked about all sorts of costumes and what they represent. Then, we prayed about it.

May our steps be led by the Lord Jesus to bring Him glory in every choice. May my children know His heart and grow under His immeasurable grace.

For this cute but simple page I used:
June's Paper Pumpkin kit: Happy Thoughts
I also used some retired Rose Red DSP and Island Indigo. Cute!

What are you creating with your Paper Pumpkin kits? Share it with us at My Pumpkin Challenge!

Simple Scraps Monday Week 3: Paper Piecing

Get Well, Smoky Slate, Real Red, retired DSP
Good Monday everyone,

I am looking for ways every week to actively use my scraps of paper and inspire YOU to do the same.

There are so many pretty papers and scraps of papers that retired and I never finished using, so every Monday I am posting ideas to use our scraps.

You can see my previous Simple Scraps Monday below:

Week one - Sketches
Week two - Blessing Notes and Bags

This is Week 3. Enjoy!

Check out today's simple scraps idea. Stamping on your DSP or paper Piecing. Neat!

I had some cute valentines paper…no one has to know. I simply stamped my Get Well Soup stamp image on it and matted with Real Red card stock. I added a punch heart from my Itty Bitty Accents punches. Done!

On this one I stamped the image on the Designer Series Paper and cut the cup, then adhered to my card base. I first stamped the Get Well Soup image with Memento Ink Tuxedo Black on the notecard. Then glued the pieces (hence the name, Paper Piecing) to the image.

Cute…little tiny heart came from the Confetti Hearts punch. Lovely!

Uh oh. No, not everything is perfect in my craft room. Here i stamped my image and it went all wrong…. so I decided to covered it, make the the inside of the card pretty with more scraps and add some more love (hearts).
See below

This was my first cup….interesting I  always need this type of cards and never have any Get Wells ready. Now I do…yippee!

You can find this awesome stamp here!

Look what an awesome project idea. :)

Have a wonderful week!
Creative Blessings,
