I usually like showing a bit of my process. This little purse was inspired by a card game from Fancy Nancy. My daughter invited me to play with her. I did, and when I saw Fancy Nancy's purse I was creating in my brain. :) I made it with one of the card bases from the Glittered Greetings from My PaperPumpkin.

I plan to make this a mini-album placing small little notes and pics of my kiddos as usual.

 Other products used:
Itty Bitty Punches, 5/8" Whisper White Organza Ribbon and Subtles DSP in colors So Saffron and Pool Party, Cropadile for little holes and the rest is My Paper Pumpkin :)

Let me know if you have any questions. It was easy and could also be used as a sweet treat holder.

Leave me your love with your comments or contact me through My Facebook Page, DBWS or email (stampablessingAROBAyahoo.com)

Lewisburg Arts Festival Part 2

Good morning,

So here is my booth! I truly love orange and kept saying I was going to make it bright and cheery so I brought orange with me. :0)
I order my top banner at the same time I ordered my tent. They give you the option and I loved having it there. It is removable so I was very pleased with it. Not many other tents have their names on top so it was neat and I noticed everybody who pass by read that first.

As I shared yesterday in my previous post, I had a lot of fun. Let me show you today some of my displays. As I mentioned before, I am finally starting a club to meet at my studio the second Friday of every month to create and inspire each other using My Paper Pumpkin Kits. I truly think it will be wonderful. Our first meeting is June 13, my birthday!!! So believe me I will have cake for you all (and me!) Yippee! Gotta celebrate my birthday doing what I do…stamping with friends!

I made some displays with different projects I designed with My Paper Pumpkin kits from the beginning and talked to many about it during the festival. I came up with an idea to hang my displays from the top of my canopy instead of placing them on the tables to be thrown on the floor by the wind.
I used large eyelets that Stampin'Up! used to sell and my Cropadile to thread with hard twine I got back when my kids had a cowboy birthday party more than a year ago. :)

It was very nice to bless the ladies with the cute paper purses. Five cards fit perfectly inside, so they left with a wonderful gift in their hands when they purchase 5 of my cards. Here are some of the ones I made.
On the opposite wall of my tent (the one without a table) I decided to do an Inspiration board with some of the products that Stampin'Up! sells and are a wonderful idea for Mother's Day. The beautiful Burlap & Blooms Wreath Kit; The Happenings Simply Created Kit and the Mini-Memories Simply Created Album. I will make a separate post on these soon if you are interested in seeing more. :)

You can see here the way I hung them from the top. They held very well. :)

Here is my sweet friend Linda; she and her dear husband Bob helped me so much. They are people so full of love, you can feel it, smell it, see it and definitely be sure God is in their hearts. I am very grateful for their friendship and all their help. They were there since 1PM till like 6PM with me checking how I was doing, coming and going, finding me drinks and food. God places angels….indeed He did.

As a participant Artist for the Lewisburg Arts festival I had to donate an art item to the Council for Auction purposes and to keep the prices low. I will show you what I made for them this Thursday. Come back tomorrow for some My Paper Pumpkin ideas. Gotta love my Paper Pumpkin kits. Visit my Paper Pumpkin page, when you join send me a quick email to add you to My Paper Pumpkin friends. You will receive a FREE case designed by me to store your new stamps and the opportunity to join me next June 13 for many ideas and a fun time!

My First Craft Booth Experience

As many of you know I have done several craft fairs (indoors), but never a fair outdoors with tent and all. This is indeed a year of great opportunities and with my DH's support I think this tent and all was like my Birthday gift together with Anniversary, Christmas and Mother's Day! Hehe! It was all worth it. The best part was right before the festival when my DH said to me "Enjoy it all!"

I woke at 5am bright and early, prepare some last minute things and by 6 I was out the toward Lewisburg Downtown for my first Lewisburg Arts Festival. There were more than a hundred artists booth plus all the food vendors and shows. After receiving my Artist Booth packet I went with a couple of brothers from my church to put together the tent. My DH needed to work that day :(

There were several cars parked were my tent was supposed to be so we had to wait for the towing truck to come and move them :/
By 7:30am we were finally putting the tent and all went absolutely perfect. I think my brothers left me about 8:30am and I proceeded to embellish my tent.

I followed so many cool ideas from amazing demonstrators like Ronda Wade and others, also from searching the web. One website I found was  Volume 25 (not a demo) and truly gave me some direction in how to start with it all.

Step 1 : Get the Tent
I found my tent at Hutshop and it is true, by day three I received my tent in front of my door. The first time I opened it (in my Living Room), it was a good practice (thou I was not able to put it too high…hehe!) I tried it a week before and put it all together in the backyard. It was good to do.
I got an EZ-UP 10 x 10 Canopy and also bought the velcro sand bags for each leg at amazon. It was windy so I am thankful I got those. It took about 5 bags of play sand to fill the four.

Step 2: Get your Design done
I started drawing how I wanted things to look and decided I would use only 2 tables. I wanted to allow the ladies to come in without feeling crowded.
If you fall in love with the curtains, I found them in amazon here, they come in different colors! Also, I found using shower curtain rods for them made them look straight and pretty! I discovered hanging them from the canopy perse made them look uneven.

Step 3: Get the Tables and Tablecloths
My wonderful church was so generous to lend me both 6' tables a few weeks before so I brought them home and started practicing the set-up as able. My tablecloths I found in amazon according to the table's measurements. I wanted tablecloths that touch the ground from every side so I could hide my boxes, purse and bags under. :)

Step 4. Make it feel welcoming.
For this I picked my favorite colors, a cute Walmart rug , two chairs I already had to which I placed coordinating sashes and  my own paper made banner. This is what I do! The best compliment was when one sweet lady asked me if the banner was for sale. :D

Step 5: Prepare your displays.
I wouldn't leave this for the last minute thou. I started working on things little by little since more than a month before, and many of my display projects were made using completed projects I already had.

Step 6: What was I going to sell?
Cards indeed. I picked all my cards I could find I made this last year for demonstration purposes, place them in Stampin'Up! awesome clear envelopes -which I love- and placed my business card in each of them. I also made some new ones I will be showing you here this week. :)

Step 7: Prepare, prepare, prepare!

Step 8: Be friendly…I would surely say most the people who came inside 'my orange room' came because I invited them, made them laugh with my funny introductions or simply told them I had a cute incentive when they purchase 5 of my cards. It was such a blessing. Crafters and non-crafters alike were polite and so encouraging in their comments.

Let me tell you a few things.
I moved to this city only 6 months ago. I do not know many but God showed His mercy in multiple ways.
*I prayed for no rain…we had no rain!
* I told Him my concerns about, "If it rains…my rug and boxes and all will be a mess (you see my crafts are all done on paper, water and paper do NOT mix). Well, my tent was on the top of an subtle incline and the street water drain right in front. If it were to rain, my boxes and rug would have been pretty good and dry.
*I had no control over where I would be position. I was #94, in front of the beautiful park, in front of a ton of musical events (free music) and on a wing. That meant people went to the right, pass my booth, and had to come back up. So I had 2 opportunities to say hi and show them my BIG smile.

And hi I said. I finished embellishing my booth right at 9AM….people started coming in (an hr in advance) and asking questions, buying cards, getting my business cards and more till 4PM.
Many sweet friends came to say hi and I was so busy with my new contacts I couldn't talk much.

Needless to say I believe it was a very positive experience. I loved it and I met a bunch of beautiful ladies that inspired me with their enthusiasm for stamping and scrapbooking. It was a joy indeed.

By 4:15PM I got myself some lunch and the wind started blowing soo hard that even thou I had awesome sandbags I decided to start picking up little by little. There were some wind-gushes that were sure to turn a few canopies upside down. Many vendors took them down and from then on were getting ready to leave.

It was super sweet to see one of my new stamping friends coming back to my tent for some cards I kept for her (cause she needed to find an ATM). She was sharing with her friend about what I do and that was so wonderful to hear. Then I also discovered my own neighbor was one of the ones I talked with that day. We were both so joyful to find out that we are NEXT DOOR neighbors!!! Really!

So much happened on Saturday I am still processing it all. I met Sunday with the doorprize #1 winner and what a joy it is to find crafters you simply and easily connect with. Praying and hoping for lasting friendships. Now getting ready to send some mail full of love to these amazing ladies.

I will share more tomorrow, about the wonderful friends who helped me, and will post a photo of my full booth from the outside. It was really cute (I think!) and many ladies (not even crafters) stop to tell me they liked it. That made my day!

If you have any questions feel free to ask and I will reply asap. I am in no means a professional craft fairs person. I said this was my first tent fair but surely I learned a ton for the next to come. Thank you for your prayers and awesome support. This promises to be another fun creative week so stay in touch.

As we order together our S/H will be the lowest Stampin'Up! offers. We then play and create together with my tools and provided guidance to make different types of layouts, try new mini-albums and try new stamping techniques. It is so fun to inspire each other and also use our own stash and finish our albums together. You bring your albums, papers, adhesives, embellishments and scrapbooking stuff you've been storing for years and we will make them shine. I will bring the guidance and expertise gained through my years in Stampin'Up! This club will only meet every other month, so that makes it easier on the budget.

Every Club Member will receive:
* All current Stampin'Up! catalogs free
* Opportunities to win challenge prizes and/or door prizes (just for coming)
* Individualized guidance for their scrapbooking goals and needs (every member will get an hour scheduled meeting (prior to start the club in July) in person or by phone with me as a start point to assess our scrapbooking style, goals, needs and expectations for this scrapbooking journey.
* The opportunity to showcase their projects and inspire others as well (not required, but optional)
* Mini-album picture tutorials in each meeting
* Scrapbook layout ideas for their Scrapbooking option per meeting (This & That Journals, 12 x 12, My Digital Studio, Project Life...)

* If by any chance you can't make the meeting that month, you will still receive pictures of the projects created and tutorials with instructions; Stampin'Up! Club order will still be expected. If almost all ladies can't attend a certain meeting after club started we will as a team look for a substitute date to the best of my ability.

** Hostess Benefits increased as total merchandise order increases. Their are different ways to achieve that and it will be discussed during each introductory meeting with me. Bring your questions, your scrapbooks in process if any and your ideas/goals. Let's meet and work as a team to GET YOUR SCRAPBOOKS DONE!

My Special Moment to Shine

This month My Pumpkin Challenge is all about Special Moments. Interesting cause this Saturday is a special day for me. I have never have a tent booth with my business on the top on a banner and me inside showing off. LOL! Well…not showing off but you know what I mean. Im getting out of my comfort zone and Im getting so excited.

I am part of a business training team and our leader Ronda Wade says if we start getting too comfy most probably we are not moving anywhere. Yeap! Gee…she keeps me on my toes but I now Im growing and walking steadily forward. Thanks Ronda!

One of the things I will be promoting at my booth is My Paper Pumpkin. I will be opening a club in the next month and I can't wait to share what I've been doing with this fabulous kits. I truly like them. Can you tell?

Here is my project. I made a little binder with the cardboard that comes with the kits. And embellished it with the My Paper Pumpkin label, Pedal Praise kit (bicycle), Glittered Greetings (arrows, chevron stem) and Real Life (sticker) kits.
I used Calipso Coral and Pool Party Designer Series Paper and a flower I had in my stash made with the Blossom Punch and Scallop Circle punch. :)
All my products are Stampin'Up! and you could find them in My Store ;)

Inside I placed all the sheets that come with each of the kits I already have.
I've been a believer since the kits started so I have them all. Hehe!

I think these kits are neat for anyone, a beginner would enjoy their simplicity and an advanced stamper gets excited with all the possibilities.

So stop by the next Saturday at downtown Lewisburg, PA. So excited building my first booth.
Here is one of my displays. What do you think!?

Come tomorrow for a fun My Paper Pumpkin announcement and Visit My Pumpkin Challenge to see what my dear friends made today!

God's Not Dead

Many blessing my dear stampers,

Hope you are having a God week, yes, I meant that. Not only a good week but a God week. A week full of God, full of wonderful Scripture in your mind all day long and times to meditate and cherish the blessings around you.  This last week I did something a rarely do -because of lack of time-, I went to the movies. I watch 'God's not dead" and it blessed me so much.

It is an inspiring movie. I truly enjoyed seeing the passion the young man showed and his decision to honor God before anything else was amazing. We indeed need to see more of that commitment, more of that passion, more of that love for God. And since I was so inspired by the movie (I texted a lot of friends reminding them our God is not dead!) I made a card to commemorate the occasion. And indeed 'I love this" like the sentiment says. I love that out of His death came true life. Thanks Jesus for giving your life for me.

Hope to inspire you to create for HIM today…Jesus is the reason I keep walking forward everyday. His love will get us through. No matter the disappointments, no matter the emotions, no matter what others say or do…my confidence is steady in the Lord. May you find reasons to praise this day, this week and always.
