Bubble Inspired for My Pumpkin Challenge

I will be very honest. It's been a while since I make a card that I totally LOVE…hehe!
Im not sure what is about this card, maybe that I created my own stencil to cut my card with and I'm loving bubbles more and more. My paper Pumpkin kits had bubbles stickers in the last two kits.
Bubbles and arrows are my favorite right now. :)

I got inspired with the bubbles and then the rest is history…is so easy to create with MPP. :)
I was out of DSP from the kits so I used a black from Stampin'Up! Neutrals DSP packs.
I used stickers and stamps from the last two kits: Real Life (December) and Love (the one from January)I added only a 1 3/8"circle punch, the 3/4" punch and the 1" punch
plus Basic Black Cardstock.

Here are the measurements. I used a piece of the cardboard that comes with the kits.
Measure 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Then 3/4" from the bottom and drew. Last cut! Tada!

I traced my folded card base (Bermuda Bay).

Traced the DSP too!

Placed DSP on top of card base, glued and cut bottom together.

Then added as many bubbles I still had left from those two kits. :) Plus the cool stamps!

Yes, I am that excited…you know me. :)
Go check the beautiful creativity at My Pumpkin Challenge and participate, is easy!
Are you inspired to go make your own bubbles?

Be creative today!

Life happens

Hello my dear stamping friends! I've been MIA but doing well and taking care of my little family.
Life happens and way too fast. I hope you took some time to let those you love know you love them this month. Gee! I'm still thinking of so many people I still want to send a card. This month has been so quick and so busy for me. Kids, church, classes, snow storms…Spring come quick!!!

This card goes for a very special someone.
I really like this combination red, black and white.
*Paper is the Modern Medley DSP
*Stamp set: Million & One
Love it!

To make my flower I die cut two flowers in Real red and rolled and rolled and
glued the bottom with Tombow Multipurpose Adjesive. Quick and Easy!

As I mentioned, life happens and so quick. I sent this card to one of my best friends months ago! :O
She gifted me this cool stamp…my only one with a precious doll (a super cupcake girl) and I HAD to try it just for her. Ha! I so never use non-SU stamps but for my dear friend I did!!

Stamp on the inside: Best of Birthdays and Loving Thoughts
*Big Shot, Deco Labels Framelits and Modern Medley DSP :)
A quote I heard from my pastor and stayed in my brain and heart:
Believers Live to Love!

Yikes! That really blessed me. There is always an amazing reward and
outstanding fruit when you choose to love His way.

In what ways have you experience His love lately?
Creative Blessings,

Stampin Valentines

Good morning everyone,

This year I sent Valentines to some of my friends. I don't stay in touch as much as I would like with many of the amazing ladies that have touched my life one way or another. So if I missed you this year please forgive me. Know that I am very grateful for your trust and friendship and never EVER take it for granted.

Hope you find some down time to create beauty and even better call a friend and say thanks for being there. :)

Have a beautiful day..just because. Not because someone gave you flowers, r because someone called. Be ok, be happy with who you are and celebrate life and the people around you no matter if you got a card, a gift or a kiss. It is a day to be thankful for all. I am thankful for today and I choose to be content no mater what today brings. Enjoy who you are…you are a gift to many!

Texture Embossing folder: Beautifully Baroque
Stamp set: Chalk Talk
Framelits: Chalk Talk

Colors: Crumb Cake, Rich Razzleberry, Pink Pirouette
Punches: Circle Punch, Scallop Circle, Owl Punch (heart)
Ribbon: Rich Razzleberry

Did you see the double stamping on the crocodile.
I used the chevron stamp from My Paper Pumpkin to stamp off some color
before I actually stamp it. That's called the kiss technique. See below.

I loved how watering this with a damp paper towel brought the letters out even more.
I just "clean it" with a paper towel…taking off some of the card stock fibers.
It will warp a bit but you can bring it back straight before you adhere to the base.
Embossing Folder:

Cute rhino! This was for my friend CD. Im so happy she liked it. :)
Stamp set: Zoo Babies

Gotta love this Bermuda Bay Color with early Expresso and Very Vanilla.
Speckles stamped with Gorgeous Grunge. :)

Thanks for visiting my online home today. It is a pleasure to be your friend and share ideas through here. You are a blessing to me and for that I am grateful happy friends day. ;)

Share: What are you thankful today about?

Jessica Urrutia

Kiss technique:

* Ink your preferred stamp with the ink color you like. Choose a solid image instead of a linear one. Like my Zoo Babies croc.
* Kiss that inked stamp on a clean (not-inked) design stamp. In this case I used a chevron stamp that came in the 'Hello to you kit' from My Paper Pumpkin.
* Now, stamp your image on your card stock. It will be impressed with the chevron design on it. ;)

I found this on my Demo Website: seems what I did was actually "Reverse Kissing". Lol!!

Directions:
1) Ink a patterned stamp, such as one of our background stamps.

2) Press a solid, uninked stamp against the patterned stamp, transferring the pattern to the solid stamp.

3) Stamp the solid image on card stock.

Tips:
  • After completing Step 2, the patterned stamp can also be used for a "reverse kissing" look.
  • Before completing Step 2, you could ink your solid stamp image with a lighter color.

    Easy Corner Bookmark Tutorial

    Hello!

Here is the tutorial I told you about. Is not new, is very simple and I even made a short video about two years ago but hope it inspires you to make some last minute details for your friends and for any occasion.

If interested in seeing the video tutorial click here!

I decorated this one with a flower a made with circles like " a hundred years ago" and
didn't know what to use it for. LOL! Love when that happens.

This is the way you use them on your book pages.

Now if you are like me, I love to see the pictures too! I made a few of these and loved them. Hope you like them too! Lots of ways to embellish them. Have fun!

If interested in printing…please let me know and Il either post the pdf (from my other computer) or send you an email with it. :)

I embellished these with the new You are Lovely stamp set from the Saleabration brochure.
Free with every $50 purchase. :)
It is so cute! Cannot wait to play with it more, but now I really need to sleep.
Snow storm scheduled for tomorrow…have mercy!

Blessings! Stay warm and keep smiling…it blesses even your own bones!

My Paper Pumpkin Full of Love

    Hello my sweet friends,

This is a week to give thanks for our wonderful friends. My Jesus is soo good in giving me the gift of friendship. I learn the gift of friendship first through my loving parents who are still my best friends ever. My amazing God, who is the friends of friends, and the One who actually taught me how to show myself a friend, and then through all of YOU my magnificent amigas. Eeek!

Yes, I'm happy! can you tell? I have chosen to be content with the road I've been called to travel and I am indeed grateful He has placed so many amazing friends in my way.

In case you don't know, I am a Puertorican who moved into the US many years ago by myself knowing very basic English. I got an amazing job at a well known hospital in one of the best Neuro-Intensive Care Units as an RN and didn't know what was a "tray". Really? Really…please I would say breakfast, food, yummy goods, but don't ask for "a tray"! "Where's my tray?" would say a hungry grumpy patient early in the morning. "Your what?" Yeap..long story short…He placed many friends on my way to help me keep walking forward and embrace this country as my country.

I have friends in the North, West, South and now also the East of the USA. Check out all the love we are spreading this week at My Pumpkin Challenge. I am very blessed to have met these awesome designers and need to say…gee!! They are amazing! Check it out today…you will love the love.

I've been liking all the shapes that came with January's My Paper Pumpkin. Have you? Today I had fun with arrows. Gee…I truly like arrows.

I added a die cut letter "U" from my Typeset Alphabet Bigz Die and my wonderful Big Shot.
God is so good! I hand cut one of those tiny hearts, AND the arrows from my previous kit…
I was in a fuzzy cutting mood I assume.

Forgive the dark picture…too many snow days, too little natural bright light. :P
What about those coordinated arrow stickers that fit inside the already cut card stock. ;)

I think my hubby will get the picture this week. I LOVE him!
I have chosen to rejoice this week. No matter what's going on, if the floors are dirty, or the hampers overflowing with dirty clothes (which they are at the moment, ugh!). I will smile and rejoice knowing I am loved and I am doing my best to get there. Whatever 'there' means. ;)

    Creative Blessings,
(See you tomorrow with a fun tutorial for a quick valentine)
Oh, and don't forget to RSVP for class this Saturday!

    Corner Bookmarks for Valentines

I made a few of this to give away during Valentines week. It felt so good to share them with my bank managers yesterday. Yippee! Indeed there is more joy in giving than in receiving. They were a bit surprised when I told them they were bookmarks. :)

I placed a little hershey bar inside to make it even sweeter!

    Happy Friends Week!

It is a beautiful week of friendships and for that I am grateful.
Here some of the cards I've been making for my friends.
My cards are rather simple lately. Life has gotten s busy with my kiddos and homeschooling, I'm enjoying more and more using my texture embossing folders and adding a punch to a card that way. :)

Here I had fun with Label Love stamp set and one of the backgrounds from the Party Pennants Kit from My Paper Pumpkin. Today ends the FREE markers promo. Did you join already?
I'm also loving how easy is to make tags with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. :)

The Hearts Collection Framelits has come very handy during this Valentine season.

Hoping you can see well the embossed image of Wildflower Meadows  on the top picture.
Eeek it is so pretty! I used Chalk Talk with its coordinating framelits for the sentiment.

Keep doing what you are doing with love. Is love that really and truly makes a difference. Nothing else does. No matter how big or small your accomplishments are, what others truly treasure is your love for them. Nothing physical makes us happy. Only those things done by love in Christ Jesus bring true joy. Gee! You are very loved!

Creative Blessings and check below our My Paper Pumpkin promotion which ends today and the new Texture Boutique Embossing Machine ( available while supplies last!). It is the perfect gift for you who only wants to have the embossing and nothing else.

    Hugs, Jessica Urrutia
