Faux Patina with a 'Rocky' Twist

Technique Twist Challenge is back on and Oh, I loved this technique.
My first take has an oops!! A Big oops! I forgot to use the embossing powder which I noticed at the end. Instead (me and my ideas!@#) I used glitter glue. :)

I used the Chevron Embossing Folder and the Show and Tell 1 and 2 for the sentiments. :)

Yo use el archivo de repujado Chevron y los sellos Show and Tell 1 y 2 para las expresiones. :)

Go check out the BEAUTIFUL cards Julz, Leena, Lauri and Pam created for Technique Twist Challenge. Wao!
Wao!

I just had so much fun making this. Is so out of my normal but I laughed so hard when I put this technique together with the actor named 'the rock". Hehe! What about the Show and Tell stamp set "been there rocked that"? Lol!

Jeje! Que tal les parece la expresión "been there rocked that"...es como decir "yo estuve ahí y lo vencí" (mas usando la palabra roca, como lo roquie).

Ok, so back to the technique. You can find an awesome and easy tutorial HERE.
MY STEPS  are the same, except I omitted the embossing powder and heat embossing.

My Colors/Mis Colores:
1. Rubbed Baked Brown Sugar on my Chevron Embossing Folder,
then emboss a Whisper White CS in it with the Big Shot.
2. Sponged with Pool Party selectively.
3. Sponger again with Midnight Muse. Esponje otra vez con Midnight Muse.
4. Sponged with Tangerine Tango. Esponje otra vez con Tangerine Tango.
5. Rubbed glitter using my Dazzling Details with my finger on top of it all. :)

What do you think about this rusty, strong card?
Que le parece esta tarjeta?

My inspiration came from this picture I found online...just love the colors (orange and blue)

and this picture on my magazine (strooong, rock...funny)

  1. What a lovely faux patina card, Jessica! Love the idea of a glitter twist! I added Shimmer Paint to a few cards before that was retired and it was cool, too.
